APPLICANT: City Initiated - Colton of Colton

PROPERTY OWNER: Citywide

PROPERTY LOCATION: Citywide

REQUEST: Zoning Text Amendment amending portions of Title 18 (Zoning) of the Colton Municipal Code to address various items including, but not limited to: adding and/or modifying definitions, and modifying and adding certain land uses in use tables; modifying allowances for certain permitted, conditional, and prohibited land uses in various zones; and amending and adding certain regulations for Congregate Care Health Facility, Animal Daycare and Boarding, R-1 Landscaping requirements, Special Provisions, Parking Requirements in Mixed-Use Downtown Zone, Industrial Building Height limits in M-1 and M-2 Zones; and modifying certain Administrative requirements.

ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION: Exempt pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Section 15061(b)(3) due to the certainty that there is no possibility that the action will have a significant effect on the environment since the amendments are regulatory and administrative in nature.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Zoning Text Amendment (DAP-001-673) through adoption of the following resolution:

RESOLUTION NO. R-22-20 - A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF COLTON RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS IN CHAPTERS 18.04; 18.06; 18.12; 18.23; 18.26; 18.28; 18.48; AND 18.58 OF TITLE 18 (ZONING) OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO DEFINITIONS, PERMITTED USES, ANIMAL DAYCARE & ANIMAL BOARDING, CONREGATE CARE HEALTH FACILITY, R-1 LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS, M-1 AND M-2 INDUSTRIAL BUILDING HEIGHT LIMITS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS, PARKING REQUIREMENTS IN MIXED-USE DOWNTONW ZONE AND ADMINISTRATION (FILE INDEX NO. DAP-001-673).
