Functions & Responsibilities

The Finance Division is a division of the Management Services Department and is responsible for managing the financial operations of the City. The Finance Division provides timely and accurate financial services that conform with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and City policies.

Additionally, the Finance Division maintains the financial records and prepares budgetary, financial, and statistical reports for all City funds. Responsible functions include:

  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Budgeting
  • Debt service management
  • Financial forecasting and reporting
  • General accounting
  • Payroll
