The City of Colton is fortunate to have sufficient groundwater to meet normal demands. However, due to the lack of snowpack/surface water from local mountains, which ultimately replenish our groundwater supplies, Colton remains under watering restrictions in an effort to ensure long-term water reliability.
Since the 2014 drought, the City of Colton has remained in Stage 3 Water Conservation measures. As drought conditions persist and become the new normal for all of California, the State recently approved new conservation measures in an effort to curb non-essential water use. Below is a summary of both local and statewide water restrictions.
