Family Story Time- Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m.
Young children and their families are invited to join us for stories, songs,
crafts, and other fun activities that help enhance literacy and language comprehension. 
Project: Teen S.T.E.A.M.
The Colton Public Library is excited to announce that its Project: Teen S.T.E.A.M is open for registration. Classes run February 25, 2019 - April 3, 2019. This program is open to teens ages 13-19 who are interested in learning about, or pursuing a career in a S.T.E.A.M related field, Program participants will partake in 24 specially designed, hand-on workshops/classes focusing on basic computer coding, principles of engineering, culinary arts, creative writing, and more!!

S.A.T. Study-Break-Athon- Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m
The Colton Public Library wants to invite all taking the S.A.T. to take a fun study break. Come on down to play some cool games and hang out before going back to hitting the books or reviewing all of those flashcards.

Dr. Seuss' Birthday Party- Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Come celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday with us. Enjoy games, stories, dancing, and of course cake!!

Recycle Crafting for Earth Day- Monday, April 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
Teens are invited to bring a friend to celebrate Earth Day at the Colton Public Library. Recycle crafting takes would be trash, or scrap materials, and makes it into something cool. Don't miss your chance to have some fun and lessen your impact on the environment. 

Resume/Career Education Workshop- Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 4:00 p.m.
Teens are you looking for a job? Do you need a resume, but are not quite sure how to write one? We can help! Join or workshop to get help with your future career.  

Family Movie Night Featuring Coco- Friday, May 3, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

National Library Week Kick-off Event- Monday, April 8, 2019 at 3:30 p.m.
Join us as we kick off National Library Week with a family fun event and meet some really cool exotic animals

Healthy Cooking Workshop with Chef Alonso- Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.
Join Chef Alonso as he whips up our family favorites with a healthy spin.

Annual Late Fine Amnesty Days- Friday, April 12, 2019 & Saturday April 13, 2019
Clear out your shelves and under your beds. Come return those late library materials. All late fees will be waived for undamaged library materials that are returned before closing on these days.

Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale- Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Programs and Events at the Luque Library Branch/ Advance to Literacy and Homework Assistance Center

                                                Current Programs

Pre-School Story Time- Mondays at 12:30 p.m.
Children 5 and under along with their families are invited to story time. Each child that attends gets one free book to take home 

Bilingual Pre-School Story Time- Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. 
Young children ages 2-6, and their families are invited to join us for stories, songs, crafts, and other fun activities that help enhance literacy and language comprehension. 

Family Literacy Story Time- Thursdays at 2:30 p.m.
Luque Branch Library presents Family Literacy Story Time. Young children and their families are invited to join us for stories, songs, crafts, and other fun activities that help enhance literacy and language skills. 

Pre-School Computer Lab- Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. 
Children, and their family, ages 3-6 are invited to this opportunity to practice ABC's and 123's. 

Advance to Literacy- Monday through Thursday 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
This program gives free tutoring to adults in basic reading and writing. Tutor and learner pairs are matched and are free to meet at time that are convenient for both people

Homework Assistance- Monday through Thursday 2:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Students in grades up the 8th can find help with their homework. An adult must accompany the minor the entire time they are at the HAC.
