The City of Colton is a tight knit family oriented community located in the East San Bernardino Valley near the center of the Inland Empire, one of the fastest growing regions in the United States .
Geographically the city encompasses an area of approximately 18 square miles and is located at the junction of the I-10 and I-215 freeways .
It is one of San Bernardino County's truly historic cities, incorporated in 1887.
Colton's population is an estimated 51,781 according to the State of California Department of Finance January 2006 report.
