Tiny Tots Program

This program is designed for children 3 to 5 years of age that are potty trained. We use a play-based curriculum that include activities in; alphabet, color and shape recognition, writing practices, arts-n-crafts, story time, singing, physical activities, & free-play.
We offer 2 and 3 days a week, with an option for 5 days a week with special arrangements. You can register on-line, by mail, or in-person. It is designed to allow participants of all income levels-so it is very affordable. Please see the Colton Chronicle for exact times and pricing, or call 909-370-6171 with questions. 
The Tiny Tots Program is currently housed in two locations; the Gonzales Community Center and the Paul J. Rogers School-Age facility. 
This is a great, affordable way to get your child the experiences he/she needs to be ready for Kindergarten!!!

State Preschool Program

This program is similar to our Tiny Tots program, but it does have more of an academic content. It is funded through the California Department of Education (CDE) so it is free to those families who meet the qualifications. 
Since it is funded by CDE the staff there must meet higher qualifications and be certified by CDE. Plus we conduct assessments, hold Parent-Teacher conferences, and put together a “Developmental Portfolio” of your child. 
Our curriculum is Whole Child Development-thus we focus on Social, Emotional, Cognitive, and Physical domains. We have AM and PM classes that are 5 days a week only. Currently the State Preschool program is housed in the Sierra Vista Baptist Church.

School-Age Program

We offer Before, After, and Off-Track care at 3 elementary schools for the Colton Joint Unified School District (CJUSD); Reche Canyon, Cooley Ranch, & Paul J. Rogers Elementary Schools. All three of these facilities are on-site, safe, and secure. We have a variety of activities for the children to do at their leisure. We also offer “home-work assistance” to children who need it, & serve a nutritional snack. Plus we do a lot of outside play, individual and group games.
We also have free transportation arranged thru CJUSD for families needing care that attend Woodrow Wilson Elementary. They are buses to our Paul J. Rogers (PJR) facility and are picked up by parents at PJR.

Family Services

We offer a variety of services and programs that are designed to help the local residents. We have the “clothes closet” at both the Hutton and Luque Community Centers. We offer Prescription Discount Cards that help Colton citizens save around 20% on Prescriptions that are not covered by their insurance. We distribute food and “commodities” once a month to local residents. We offer assistance with filling out forms and give referrals to other social services agencies. We host the annual “Thanksgiving Day Dinner” and distribute “Christmas Baskets” to the neediest.
